should we add Ancient Warriors' equipment?

First off, what is Ancient Warriors equipment?

Well it is high tier armour/weapons that gives very good offensive and defensive stats. 

 

The armour and weapons are as followed:

 

 Vesta's equipment - Melee  

 Zuriel's equipment - Mage 

 Statius's equipment - Melee 

 Morrigan's equipment - Ranged 

 

How will we add in ancient warriors equipment if the poll passes? 

If the poll passes will add another poll after that, which asks this exact question again with a few options.

To keep the server balanced we want to make these items very rare and of high value due to the meta change they bring to the server.

We will also only add these items as a drop to some sort of activity wilderness.

 

options:

1) Add to revenants drop table

2) Add to deadmans chest

3) Add to Larrens chest

4) Add a new chest that can only be opened by keys you receive from killing players and or bosses in the wilderness

 

Pros / Cons:

Pros 

• Will increase the activity around the wilderness and make people engage in pking more often.
• Make the server more enjoyable for a lot of players.
• Will create more of a end game goal for many players to work towards.
• Will attract new players who enjoy pking.
• Gives a bigger verity of weapons and armour to chose from.
• Makes more challenging end game content easier for players who struggle with raids etc.
• Good money sink.

 

Cons

• Some players may think that the armour is too overpowered for pvp and pvm.
• Bossing will be easier.
• May devalue some other items in game.

 

As of now we are thinking that equipment should not be degradable unless killed in the wilderness. 

To repair the armour you will need to go to a repair stand.

This repair cost will not come cheap so it is a high risk when using it in pvp situations.

Perhaps make the armour degrade similar to a tentacle whip, i.e it has 5,000 charges before turning to 'dust'

Not a fan of these items as they are very broken imo and much prefer the older style gameplay over the newer updated items

Adding more value to the larrens chests would be a really good idea, would make slayer wildy feel like its worth the risk of being pk'd

I said yes, but would like to see them be degradable, non degradable I think would be ok if there was another bis like torva ect, but as current osrs is I think vesta ect should be degradable and used as a pvp item mainly and used at places like CoX or ToB and shit. Bandos/Arma will take a huge hit, not sure how ancestral stacks against morrgs but

Should disappear on death in wildy.

Player who killed should get 20-25m cash per piece dropped, so that there is still reward for players who defeated players with good armor.

Should degrade in PVM, repair cost of 30-40m.

 

Why should it disappear on wildy pk? Because there needs to be a reason for people to keep going to Revs. If the armor only degrades, then they will still exist in game. The more that come in game, the less people will need to go pvm for them.

 

Maybe a donator feature ($250 plus) can repair ancients after pk death. Doesn't cause p2win in terms of combat. Would allow them to keep armor without buying new one, but still pay price for repair.

Should make it use able only in Wildy in my opinon, can be overpowered in pvm.

I don't like the idea of it, but adding it for PvP and wildy content only wouldn't be terrible, as long as it degrades (wildy bosses included).
